Privacy & lesson recordings
Tuvello needs some personal data to remember your learning progress and run a voice lesson. Lesson recordings are optional and have their own clear choice.
Effective 5 August 2026
What Tuvello stores
Google provides your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier when you sign in. Tuvello stores your language choices, goals, tutor preferences, lesson transcripts, corrections, vocabulary, progress, and the memories you ask your tutor to retain.
How live lessons are processed
During a voice lesson, audio and lesson text are processed by the speech, transcription, and AI providers needed to run the conversation. Tuvello uses the resulting lesson data to teach, create your review, track progress, and prepare later practice.
Optional lesson recordings
During setup, Tuvello asks whether you want to record live lessons. Nothing is recorded unless you choose Enable lesson recordings. When enabled, both your voice and your tutor's voice are saved as a full-session recording and as individual turn clips so you can replay and review them.
Recordings are stored privately and are not public. They are automatically deleted within 190 days. Turning recording off applies to future sessions; existing recordings remain available until their deletion date unless you delete your account first.
Your choices
- Enable or disable future lesson recordings in Settings.
- Review and edit what your tutor remembers on the Memory page.
- Export a machine-readable copy of your account data or permanently delete your account and stored recordings from the Memory page.
Retention and security
Lesson recordings are kept for no more than 190 days. Other learning and account data stays with your account so the tutor can preserve continuity, unless a shorter retention period is stated for a feature or you delete your account. Tuvello restricts media access to the signed-in account and uses private storage for recordings.
